In her piece Im Muslim, Dont Panic Sackett explores the ideas of Muslim women in hip-hop culture.

From teaching the history and fundamental moves of hip-hop to helping coordinate Intermedia Arts’ semiannual B-Girl Be festival, Amy Sackett has become a leader in the Minnesota B-Girl community and beyond. Sackett has over 15 years of professional dance experience working with international stars such as Bow-Wow, Mario, Ashanti, Talib Kwalei, DJ Funk Master Flex and Dead Prez. In her piece I’m Muslim, Don’t Panic, Sackett explores the ideas of Muslim women in hip hop culture. The dance also features two of her most promising students and impressive b-girls in their own right, Kadijah and Iman Siferllah-Griffin.
